Nik Kershaw – Touring Dates for this Summer…

I’m not sure what I can tell you, and what I can’t… It’s all very exciting. I have been shown the list of “possible”, “nearly confirmed” and “confirmed” gigs for Nik Kershaw this summer. I think the safest thing is for me to give you some clues or “teasers” –
1. The list runs from now (March 2011) until Christmas 2011.
2. The list could be classified as “global” or atleast “international”
3. If all of the bookings confirm then we are all going to be very busy!
4. That’s a lot of air miles!!

Part of the “deal” of being a musician and playing festival is the immediacy, feedback and rush of being on stage. It’s such a cool thing to see you all in the audience, hear you singing along and get the vibe that you had a good time, and normally that’s-that… but Oohhh no! Sadly for me, the last festival of the 2009 Summer season… but, what a Summer it has been!! It would appear that distance is no object for the Nik Kershaw fans and it was really good to see you all in Glasgow at Retrofest.

Got back lastnight from the Nik Kershaw gig at the Fairport Convention – Cropredy. The sun was out, hopefully you had your Factor-50 on?! I went for “the-hat” instead!!

A really great vibe and a very happy audience – see if you can spot yourself in the crowd photos – sadly no prize… sorry!!

I am going to be playing at three festivals here in the UK –

Fairport Convention – Cropredy –
Cropredy Convention 2009 -13, 14 & 15 August
Cropredy is a pretty village five miles north of Banbury in Oxfordshire (see the location map on this website). Every August, its inhabitants welcome an invasion of up to 20,000 music-lovers for Fairport’s Cropredy Convention. The event is held over the second full weekend of August, from Thursday afternoon to midnight on Saturday.

80s Rewind Festival –
Temple Island Meadows, Henley-on-Thames – 21, 22 & 23 August 2009
The 80s Rewind Festival is the country’s newest boutique festival celebrating the greatest music from the coolest decade with the biggest line up of eighties acts since Live Aid.

Retrofest –
Loudoun Castle, Galston, Ayrshire – 28, 29 & 30th August 2009
