“There are Overwater Players…”
As many of you already know, I was really flattered to be approached by Overwater Basses in 2010 to see if I would be interested in endorsing and playing their bass guitars.

The Overwater company is an established British Manufacturer and this combined with the quality of manufacture and total understanding of their product and the players requirements makes my Overwater the best bass I’ve owned!

TM Stevens Masterclass Week

Returning to the UK in 2012, TM Stevens visited ACM for 5 DAYS (between 12th-16th March 2012), giving a series of live performance sessions, guest lectures and an EXCLUSIVE bass masterclasses. It was an experience of energy, a stunning stage presence and performance skills by TM Stevens.

TM Steven’s skill and proficiency as a bassist and vocalist is globally legendary. A luminous figure among today’s bassists, he has unbelievable energy, stunning stage presence and knows how to win a crowd over within minutes.

His ferocious, yet melodic, style of bass is as unique as his larger than life persona. Never losing sight of his own special blend of signature roots music, Heavy Metal Funk, TM’s versatility and heavyweight skills as producer, songwriter, film score composer, singer and instrumentalist are his signature traits.

Over the years Stevens has recording and/or performing with award-winning stars like Steve Vai, Whitney Houston, Cindy Lauper, Little Steven, Tina Turner, Little Richard, Stevie Wonder, and Billy Joel. Also as a former member of The Pretenders, TM played on the platinum album Get Close.

It has been a while since we’ve played big UK venues and I think these are going to be some very special gigs – the old material to get you all singing and happy and the new songs, from the new album are great and really strong, so expect some new classics in the making!

Academy Events in association with Fruit Pie Music and ShortHouse Records are thrilled to announce that Nik Kershaw and his band will head out on tour in September 2012.

This will be the first time Nik has toured with his band since 2001 and offers an all too rare chance to experience one of the UK’s premier singer/songwriters live in concert.

Nik will be playing nine dates to celebrate this year’s re-release of his 1984 Brit nominated, iconic first album ‘Human Racing’, which he will be performing in its entirety.

He’ll also be introducing songs from his new studio album ’8′, (due to be released this summer), along with many favourites spanning his varied and illustrious career.

Tickets go on sale Friday 20th April at 9am.
